The Sunshine State
I forgot to post this the other day; Tim and I went to lunch at Chopstix and this was the view. I think that’s the lowest I’ve ever seen the water. We didn’t see any alligators, although we saw their tracks in the mud close to the dock. And we saw a few turtles (including some baby ones) and a whole lot of birds. I guess with the water so low, the fish are getting more crowded together. It must make for good pickings – I think we saw more bird activity in an hour than we’ve seen the last couple of times we’ve been there.
And while all this sunny weather we’re having is helping me to dry the yarn faster, it’s hot as blazes, the water table is dropping like someone pulled the drainplug, and some of my new plants are not faring well. We could use some rain.
