A Day in the Life

I honestly wasn't sure what photo I should use for day 24 of #MarchMeetTheMaker, Customers/Feedback. I didn't want to copy and paste someone's feedback, because honestly, my favorite feedback....? Is the look someone gives me at a craft show or event when they walk away clutching their new favorite piece, just smiling and maybe a little misty-eyed and already dreaming of what they're going to use it for. It's like the sun coming out. I also love hearing "my sibling/friend/coworker told me about your stuff and they were right, I love it!" or "you made me this thing years ago and it still means so much to me" or "I broke my thing and I cried and cried and hey look you have one similar and I am buying it RIGHT NOW" or "the socks I made with your yarn are my favorite" or... well, you get the idea. Customers and the feedback they give me are the number one reason I don't ever want to switch to wholesale... I value too much hearing your stories. #MarchMeetTheMaker2019 HaldeCraft is driving to Indiana and back, for a family wedding - so will be out of the studio from Saturday March 23rd through Tuesday April 2nd. Anything ordered after noon on Friday March 22nd will be mailed out when I return to the studio. I will still be posting a little on social media, and will have access to email, so reach out if you need me for anything! It's #MarchMeetsTheMaker Day 23... Top Tip or Advice. Ok, here's the thing. I don't mean, with this, deliberately be rude. I don't mean get up in people's faces for little or no reason, I don't mean tell your best friend that yeah, her butt looks huge in those jeans, and I don't mean yelling at people in the grocery store for going through the express lane with eleven items. What I mean is that when you have something that sets your soul on fire, something that you love to do and you want to shine that light out into the world... and someone nay-says you? Someone tells you you're not talented enough or that your light isn't bright enough or that what you love isn't worthy or isn't important? Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck that. You do not need to value the feedback from someone who doesn't value you and what you bring to the table. #MarchMeetsTheMaker2019 .... what do you think this fluffy guy is thinking about? Because it looks as if something has caught his eye off-camera, and he's engrossed in trying to figure something out about it. Could you have a more eye-catching yarn bowl?! I think not.
