Hollow Ancient Eyes (https://www.haldecraft.com/pr Hollow Ancient Eyes (https://www.haldecraft.com/products/hollow-ancient-eyes). The old man on the corner, sign in hand. The bundled old woman in the cold, no longer even caring that people walk past her. Times are hard. You shrug, you walk past, deliberately not seeing. Even people in your own life that you never have time to call, never have time to really talk with, never have time to visit. What would you see if you made eye contact with those hollow, ancient, cataract-ridden, lonely eyes? What gift would you be giving someone to just say hello, to hear them? To hold space for them for even just a moment? How less lonely would they feel? Would you feel?
Inspired by Spanish and Mexican majolica and talav Inspired by Spanish and Mexican majolica and talavera, these plates (https://www.haldecraft.com/products/colorful-plate) are going to appeal to anyone with a love for color! These are handpainted and each one will be a little bit different depending on color placement and base glazed used.

Golden Years (https://www.haldecraft.com/products/ Golden Years (https://www.haldecraft.com/products/golden-years). When you feel that life's taking you nowhere, remember that nights are warm, days are young, and the shades of these yellows in Golden Years will carry you through. Some yellows, like some years, stand out more, and some fade into the background and support the stronger ones. Make something amazing with this golden yarn, something that will stand out and be remembered.

Works-in-Progress Wednesday (02/25/15)

Lorena February 25, 2015 This Week in HaldeCraftLeave a comment

This has been one of those weeks where everything has, well, not gone BADLY, but definitely not as planned. I’ve absolutely not gotten the work done I wanted to this week. In ceramics, last week I was supposed to make new slab-rolled soap dishes, a prototype of which I had …

Oh, Friday.

Lorena February 6, 2015 Randomosity3 Comments

All day long I had it in my head I was going to write a Friday Five post — my five favorite story songs (instigated by hearing “Factory” by Melissa McClelland last night in the car on the drive home). I even had this page up, as an open tab …
