A stack of three white mugs with yellow and brown sunflowers on themAnd here are the finished sunflower mugs, that made me so sad. Something happened in the firing - either little bits of the tan underglaze blew off, taking the glaze with it, or little bits of the glaze blew off, taking some underglaze with it. Either way, you can see the white spots in the seed area. The white on the deep parts of the petals is on purpose, that's part of the glaze. But not the white spots in the brown seeds. My friend did still love them, which is flattering, but I still feel like it's not my best work, and maybe I should make them again (in all my copious free time).

Earlier this year, around April and May, I worked on a custom order for a friend.

I’m really hoping the above slideshow above is showing up correctly… honestly from this end it doesn’t look great, and I think I won’t be able to figure it out and fix it until after I post this. Wheeeeee! Sigh. I guess that’s what I get for trying to cut corners; I’m tired, cranky, have a hella bad sinus headache, and still need to finish mowing the lawn as soon as the riding mower’s batteries finish recharging. So I thought I’d save time by importing the photos I did for social media, complete with captions, to put in here to describe what I did. Sigh. TECHNOLOGY!

Well, if that doesn’t work, the real point of this post was the videos, anyway!
