LITERALLY WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE, Y'ALL. When thinking of sweet fruit like pineapple, banana, and apple, sharp paprika is not the go-to, to sprinkle on top of that. But have you ever had a fruity drink, with the rim of the glass done up in spicy salt? This smells like that tastes! It's insane, but it works. Trust me.

Champagne Sugar is an enigmatic soap; a little light, a little fruity, a little bit of citrus, a little sweet. Hints of jasmine, rose, and plum mix with lemon, orange, apple, and banana, and together they all smell amazing and lightly fresh. This is not an overpowering fragrance; you can definitely tell that it's scented before you even unwrap it, but the fragrance makes me think of a booth at a farmer's market full of fresh flowers and juicy fruit.

You love yarn. Yarn is probably on your wish list (doesn’t the Yarn Harlot tell non-yarnies that even though we all seem to have enough yarn, yarn is always a good gift?). Or maybe you’re shopping for that yarn lover in your life…? Maybe your yarn lover even sent you …

The book that changed my life

Lorena November 17, 2014 Ramblings2 Comments

I wouldn’t necessarily call this book my favorite book – after all, how many times have I reread Alas, Babylon and Watership Down? But The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron did change my life. The year was… hmm. I don’t even remember the year. Maybe 1996? 1997? The Reader’s Digest …

I was just telling a friend on the phone yesterday that I don’t remember, when buying a house 20 years ago, it being quite this time consuming. As such, I don’t really have a lot to show for this last week, work-wise! I finished a pattern I’ve had in my …
