Getting a handle on those mugs

Scenes from a work day

Thank you, thank you; I’ll be here all week. Please tip your wait staff.

This photo is actually a couple of weeks old; these mugs have already been glazed and fired, and I took them out of the kiln Wednesday. In this batch I played around with handles, and the one I’m happiest with are the S-shaped ones. So expect to see those smoothed out and slightly refined as I learn to cut the best length, and for that to be my “look” for a while.

Half of these will be going up for sale, and half of them I’ll be taking with me to the Florida Fiber-In, where I’m vending in September. What, what?! Live near Orlando?

I know there were a few other things I was going to say, but … all I can think of is that my coffee cup needs to be refilled.
