Snuggling sistersI had a lot I wanted to do yesterday; wind a little bit of yarn, dye a lot of yarn, and paint a lot of ceramics. But it didn’t get above 50 in the house before about noon, so it was too cold to take my gloves off and either grasp a paint brush or stick my hands into wet yarn. Brrr. Enter the few weeks a year it sucks to not have a house with a central heater — just space heaters and really snuggly pets. Like these two, seen snuggling together where they spent most of the day… on an afghan I’d set on the desk next to me when I got up to get more coffee, under the lamp next to my workspace. Good thing it was too cold for me to take off my gloves; it’s not like they’d move to give me my workspace back.

Today will see a massive wrapping of soap, for a large order I’m taking to Wild Iris this evening. I’ll be blogging later about some new fragrances I’m taking there, so stay tuned for that!

In other ramblings, there may be more news on the lotion front coming soon. I think I’ve narrowed it down, for hand lotion fragrances, for Unscented, Sandalwood, Cucumber Mint, Rosemary Mint, and Lavender. I’ll also be doing a massage lotion (and due to a Series of Exciting Events, that will actually be coming out before the hand lotion) and the massage lotion will have the same five fragrances with one exception — instead of Sandalwood I’ll be offering that in Sweetgrass.

That’s about all I have time to say, right now — I have to go wrap some soap! Fortunately for me (but not for Tim) he’s still feeling a little sick and slept on the couch last night so he could sleep either without coughing or without waking me up with his coughing, so the space heater has been on in there most of the night. It’s almost 60 degrees in there! I can take my gloves off to wrap soap! I think I’ll leave on my three pairs of socks, though. My feet are always cold anyway.

  1. I’m excited about the massage lotion – and I love the sweetgrass fragrance. And, of course, lavender. I would use that in place of body lotion on my little “spa” days. I like something a bit richer after exfoliating.

    1. And this stuff is rich, let me tell you. If it were coffee, you could stand your spoon up in it, it’s so thick. I took a sample in to my massage therapist, and as soon as she spread it on her hands she was asking me about what fragrances I was bringing in. Then she called me the next week to see how soon I was making more! 🙂

Heh — I guess you can say that it’s been tested on me, as well as made by me.
