Rabbit trinket dishes

For my next shop update (probably July?) I want to have remade all of the current trinket dishes (I’m making them a little larger and want to get replace the current ones – the new Cherry Blossom, Mushroom, and Honeycomb ones reflect this new size) and make a whole bunch more. So… starting with the Rabbits!

This time I paid attention and made sure that a rabbit was front and center in what would be the middle of each dish. But what about color? I didn’t want to use the blue I’d done them in before – I’m switching that color over to something else it’s going to look better on. Which means I need a new color, or at least a color that’s not one I use a lot (like yellow… I seem to really like yellow!). So I decided to try pink; it’s a popular color for tulips, which are in the design, and it’s kind of a Springtime color (which I hope doesn’t detract from these being up year round, and not a seasonal collection.

I can’t believe I got this all into one video, haha. I’m familiar with, in writing, the phrase “kill your darlings,” but it’s so hard to cut moments out when I want to show you everything about the Making process. If I did that, though, I might as well just set up a live webcam and let y’all watch me work from there, haha. So here’s a multi-hour, multi-week Making session, distilled down to about three minutes. With finished items at the end!
