Things-in-Progress Thursday (12/03/15)

I didn’t have time to write a blog post yesterday, so let’s just pretend that today is Wednesday and you can tell me what you’re working on!

I am all ceramics, all the time this week. Pouring, cleaning, building, firing, painting, glazing, firing… and did I mention firing? As I write this I’m on my fifth firing in… uh, since last Saturday. How many days ago is that? What is today, again?

When I’m not too tired from painting and glazing all day, I’m still working on my entrelac wrap. I’ve passed the halfway mark and am thinking about how to round out the colors.

But back to ceramics! Why am I so focused on making ceramics this week? GLAM, baby!

Gainesville Florida and surrounding areas - what are you doing this Sunday, December 6th, from 10-4 PM? Are you interested in locally brewed beer, food trucks, and free admission into the area's most awesome indie craft show? I THOUGHT YOU WERE. So get on

Who should come: anyone interested in handmade goods, crafted by local people with care and commitment to their craft.
What: the GLAM Craft Show
Where: 625 SE 5th Avenue; the Historic GRU Operations Warehouse (please note this is a different location from the last couple of years)
When: Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 10 AM – 4 PM
Why: Locally made crafts! Food trucks! Locally brewed beer! A kids area! Is it Sunday yet?!?!?

I hope to see some of you there! But meanwhile… what about you? What are you working on this week?
