Deck and cover
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned here, but if you’re friends with Sharon and I on Facebook, you’ve probably seen the pictures — Tim is helping her and Chris build a deck for their back yard. AND WHAT A DECK.
I think it’s taken them… four weekends so far? One of planning, and three of work. I think they have one more big weekend of work (they took last weekend off) and then a few little cosmetic things to finish, then this thing will be DECK-A-LICIOUS. And they’re letting me have my birthday party there this year! What, what?!?! I KNOW. Them’s some good friends.
You can’t really tell from my photo – because I’m standing on the upper level – but it’s a two-level deck and it is HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE. It’s probably going to give them half again as much square footage as they have in the house, which sounds like an exaggeration, but y’all…. I’m not even kidding. This deck is going to be epic.

This all sounds so cozy, but still productive!

I was so sure the boys would surprise Sharon last weekend by finishing it while she was at Fiber In – she laughed at the thought. I guess they didn’t surprise her.
Nah, they needed a weekend off, too. But with today’s rain, they got a bonus day off today…. I’m sure they’ll work six times as hard tomorrow to get it done. 😉
