Where’d the last couple of days go?

Help me, Obi-Wan! You're our only soap!“Help me, Obi-Wan! You’re our only soap!”

When last we left our intrepid heroine, I had just listed the Star Wars yarn and soap set; since then, I’ve had an on-again off-again migraine and have been Grumpy McCrankyPants. I’ve also poured some molds, cleaned some greenware, and fired the kiln with only three pieces in it. In about 50 more degrees I’ll be able to open the kiln, but I have to tell you, I’m afraid to. I did two more plates and I’m convinced neither one of them will work either, and I did a giant piece that meant I couldn’t fit anything else in the kiln, and it’s a birthday present for a good friend, so I can’t show a picture of it yet. So. Tomorrow’s picture may be of only two exploded plates. Oh, and I’ve also lost about 230 bars of soap to the massive humidity we’ve had here this week. Guess what I’ll be remaking next week? WHEEEEE!

Is it just me, or is it really funny when cats make a really easy leap for something and miss? Tee hee hee.

The Star Wars yarn is being very well received! Thanks, y’all! Hee! I’m so excited! Astromech Droid and Carbonite are the clear favorites so far, with That’s No Moon and Bounty Hunter coming in third and fourth. I mean, not like it’s a race. But it’s kind of neat to see what’s popular.

Great; now I have to de-hair my packing supplies.Have I mentioned that I’m doing a two-day craft fair in a couple of weeks? It’s the same one we did as Hanks last year, Where the Sidewalk Ends. This year it’ll be two days long, and I want to thank my awesome friends Laura and Arne in advance for helping me out with that.

Is it really after 10 AM? This gray weather makes it seem earlier, as does the fact that I’m still in my pajamas (even though I’ve been dyeing yarn for two hours already this morning). I think today is going to be a stay-indoors kind of day.

Happy Sunday, y’all!

  1. Do you ever sell your “oopsies” at a reduced price? Some folks wouldn’t mind a bit of a mess-up in the yarn, you know.
