I mean, I also taxied around Dublin, because I was staying in a residential neighborhood near the zoo and botanical garden, and not downtown in the city center. For Gainesville comparison, it would be like staying over in the NE by the airport, but all the bars and shopping are over in Butler Plaza. I

Christ Church Cathedral
I wasn’t going to go into Christ Church Cathedral… I was just going to walk by, on my way to St. Patrick’s Cathedral. But it was raining, and I was warm in my long sleeve shirt, thermal undershirt, and hoodie, but I hadn’t brought my raincoat with me and I didn’t want to get completely

Dublin Castle
Saturday morning I woke up and although when planning, I’d earmarked this day for Trinity College and the Book of Kells, for some reason I just didn’t feel like it. I scrolled around on Google Maps to see what did look enticing, and Dublin Castle caught my eye. Did I know anything about it? Nope.

The Dublin Zoo
I felt like I’d done so much already, yet this was only my second day in Ireland. I guess that’s what I get for landing at 9 in the morning, haha! (Note to self: next time, don’t get an overnight flight. The relaxation you will have of not looking out and seeing miles and miles

The Glasnevin Cemetery
The Glasnevin Cemetery is big, but relatively new compared to many other things in Dublin. It opened in the 1830s, and it’s still a working cemetery – so people are still interred there and if you’re walking around there’s a chance there might actually be a funeral going on, or people actively grieving at a
