Berry basket beauty! And bounty!I just can’t stop staring at this photo, and I’m the one who took it! I was picking up some bisque a few weeks ago (remember this photo?) and I saw these berry baskets. I could not resist the cuteness, so I bought a dozen. It took me two weeks to be able to glaze all of them and get them in the kiln (not enough room, heh) and yesterday I was able to buy fruit and do my photo shoot. AND BOY HOWDY. I just can’t stop staring at this photo. The baskets, by the way, are going fast. But I’ve already ordered more supplies, so hopefully it’ll just be a few weeks before I have more. I’ll definitely be replacing the ones that sold out, and feel free to drop me a line if you want some in colors I didn’t do.

Yesterday went by pretty quickly. I slept late (recovering from two-party-Saturday) (tired-recovering, not hangover-recovering; I only had one glass of wine and one of champagne, and after that I switched to sparkling lemonade). I dyed some July sock club yarn (and am dyeing the rest today). I photographed the berry baskets and couldn’t resist listing them. I made dinner. We watched True Blood. That was pretty much my Sunday. Oh, and I fired the kiln overnight rather than during the day today, so that I can slip out for lunch later with friends.

Happy Monday, y’all!

  1. I love it when a picture comes out beautifully. It’s hard to stop looking at it, especially when you’ve taken it yourself.

    Great photo! Love the light.

    1. Thank you! I love using that corner for photos in the morning — that window faces East and gets just the loveliest golden light until about 10 AM… perfect for natural light photos; no need for flash, no need for a lightbox… ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Did you make fruit salad when you were done? That’s a wonderful photo and it makes me hungry. Think I’ll go grab a handful of blueberries.

    Love, Aunt Gay
