How many needles died for these socks?

Two. I broke two circulars making these socks; about three hours apart, while traveling back from Columbus. Good thing they were cheap-ass Knitpicks needles, or I’d be really pissed!

Yarn: Perhaps Today is a Good Day to Dye in “Irish Coffee” (my hand-dyed, for the shop)
Needles: Size 1 circulars
Pattern: Child’s First Sock in Shell, by Nancy Bush
Notes: Going to be a shop model for a while, to show off the yarn.
