Molly’s headband (#2)
Pattern: Molly’s Headband, from Interweave Knits
Yarn: Frog Tree alpaca
Needles: Size 6 DPNs
Notes: This is the second one I made. As with the first, it would have taken much less time had I just sit down and knit it, rather than do a row here and there over the course of a few weeks. I love this pattern! I will be making a pair of Knucks out of the same yarn, and sending them off later this year as a gift.

Molly’s Headband
Okay, I’ve taken about 47 photos of this beautiful headband, and I can’t find a single one that both features the beauty of the lace pattern and does not focus on the messiness of my wet hair.
Le Sigh.
Made with less than half a ball of green Frog Tree Alpaca (mmmmm) on a pair of size 6 DPN’s. Pattern is from Interweave Knits. Total time? Maybe about three or four hours, spread out over longer than I care to admit for the easiness of the project. I would make this again! It’s terribly cute, and the lace pattern was very easy.

Variation on Nakiska
The cabled headband from Knitty is silly easy to make, and takes about three hours. It’s a good project for instant gratification, and a lot of friends have asked for one after seeing mine. I’ve made two so far (Kelly, I need a picture of yours!) and here’s the third one… sort of. I’ve taken the liberty of changing the cables, just to give myself something a little different to do. In making this one, I also taught myself how to do cables without a cable needle.

Nakiska
That was quick!
I made this out of a fun yarn I had picked up in Scotland; I got so much of it that even though I’m making a sweater for myself I knew there’d be [more than] enough left over to do this little scrap yarn project. In fact, I’m pretty sure I’ll have enough to do a matching scarf. And some gloves. And maybe a hat. It’s a lot of yarn!
Another picture in the extended…
