And the Question of the Week… isn’t. I’ve been doing the QOTW for… six years now? Seven? And participation has been dropping slowly – more quickly since I no longer have an email list with which to remind people about this (don’t get me started on how using an RSS feed like Google Reader can remind you about blog posts every time they happen). So, although I dearly love the three people who have been answering, I think it’s time for this little meme to pass on.

Rest assured that I still have many questions, and perhaps some of them will show up on the blog in other ways.

Yeah. Still working on getting rid of both of those things. Sigh.

Commence being jealous – we don’t really disagree. That may have something to do with there only being, like, three of us left… but seriously! We all have pretty much the same outlook about everything. Probably the largest difference is how Tim and I approach our views on politics, as he listens to Rush Limbaugh daily, and in my universe Rush is going to be first against the firing squad. But even there we agree that Tim can listen to whatever he wants wherever I can’t hear it, and I can keep my mouth shut – so there’s no real tension there. At least there wasn’t until I wrote that out where Tim can see it. I’ll let y’all know if I have to sleep on the couch tonight.

And the Question of the Week is… what, if any, religion are you? Have you ever changed to a different religion?

My answer is after the cut.

I’ve heard I was baptized as a Methodist as a child, but I don’t even know what they believe/practice. If I had to nail myself down (whoa, unintended pun?!) I would call myself an Agnostic Taoist Pagan (I really don’t see those three as being exclusive of each other). But I don’t get into bed with any sort of organized religion; mostly because I’ve read up on many of them and from an outsiders point of view many of them seem to be describing the same thing… and yet most of them also say that everyone else is wrong. I fail to grok how, if someone is describing the leaves, and someone is describing the branches, and someone is describing the trunk, and someone is describing the root system, and someone is describing the acorn… they can all deny that they are talking about the same tree.

My answer is after the cut.

What I like most is my office; primarily because of the skylights and the built-in bookshelf. I’ve always had a soft spot for built-in units; bookshelves, pocket doors… things like that. And I love the sound of the rain on the skylights, and the natural light in this room.

What I like least is not having a heater. Especially this morning, when it’s in the upper 50’s… inside.
