Notes: Made for class at shop; will be gifting later this year. I LOVE THIS PATTERN. Every time I make it, I want to make more and change out the cable. Sadly every time I make it I’m also always pressed for time and can’t make more.

Yarn: Blue Sky Alpaca Sport Weight 100% Alpaca

Pattern: Modified from a headband pattern I made years ago (and many times since), Nakiska by Amy Swenson

Notes: I threw in different cables since I’ve made this pattern about six times. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great pattern (obviously since I’ve made it so many times) but sometimes I just like to change it up.

Yarn: Sirdar Denim Chunky

Pattern: Eh, it’s a hat. Figure out your gauge, cast on, go till it’s as long as you want, decrease.

Notes: Tim wanted a hat for his birthday; since it wasn’t an afghan I was all “hells yeah!”

Pattern: Basic hat

Notes: I actually made this hat a couple of years ago, but don’t wear it a lot because I thought it rolled up too much – what with a rolled brim, and all. So I finally dug out the leftovers and picked up stitches, adding ribbing (rather than rip the whole thing out and reknit it). And do you know what doing that told me? That actually… THIS HAT IS TOO BIG FOR ME. Sigh. I HAVE TEH FAIL.

Yarn: The leftover yarn from my Dr. Who scarf, which became a pullover (Dr. Whubey).

Pattern: Hallowig (Ravelry; Knitty.com)

Notes: Every year I say I want to knit one of these, and every year I never get around to it. So even though I had a ton of things on the needles I cast on — fortunately this is a quick knit! Also one of the dorkiest things on the planet. I look like a tool when I’m wearing it (not that that’ll stop me from wearing it to work today).
