I just put February’s yarn club in the mail, and that means I can blog about January’s color!
The theme this time around is inspired by Vincent van Gogh, and I’m starting off with one of his earlier, not-as-well-known pieces. While his later, lighter, brighter paintings are what he’s most known for, this month’s yarn is inspired by the little-known watercolor “Man Winding Yarn”.
I was unable to find anything written about it, but you can see a copy of it here.
If you chose sock weight, the yarn was Andre; an 80% Superwash Merino/20% Nylon yarn that gets 6-8 stitches per inch on a US 0-2 and comes in 400-yard, 100-gram put-ups.
If you chose worsted weight, the yarn was Tepper; a 100% Superwash Merino yarn that gets 4-5 stitches per inch on a US 6-9 and comes in 218-yard, 100-gram put-ups.
