Hahahaha oops

Hahahaha oops

I didn’t write a post yesterday because I thought I had a knitting post pre-scheduled, but it turns out I accidentally skipped a week when I was pre-writing them all. That’s what I get for writing all those posts at like 4 in the morning when I couldn’t sleep.

Oh well.

What would I have talked about yesterday? Whatever I did Saturday, I guess, but now that day is so far behind me I can’t remember what I did. Probably a lot of things that were on my to-do list but not enough to make me feel accomplished… that seems to be the theme for the week. Over the last week I’ve been…

… trying to wind January’s yarn club (I finished that Saturday, and got everything packaged yesterday)…

… work on sales tax (sent out the check on Saturday, and my god, was it a large one)… yesterday I was supposed to trim some mugs but they weren’t quite dry enough yet so I threw another half-dozen instead, and this afternoon when we get back from errands (going to Jacksonville for clay, and lunch) I’ll uncover them all and let them dry out enough that I can trim and handle them all…

… I’m trying to get ready for the Open House on Saturday but I can’t start cleaning and moving things until I get those mugs trimmed and handled…

… also Tim’s parents are coming to visit (they’ll be here for the open house and I’m stoked about that because my guest artist is a blacksmith!) so there’s a lot of housecleaning to do…

… we finally got the Christmas tree outside; it was ready to go a week ago but we had a couple of nights of freezing temps and I didn’t want to shock it after it being inside for a while. It’s outside now though and enjoying the 50-70 degree range, and some rain, and of course, natural light! We need to figure out where to put it. You’d think with 15 acres that wouldn’t be a problem, right? But I want to plant it where I can see it from this house, and where I’ll be able to see it from the house we plan to build in a few years, and not under the power line, and not where it might potentially fall on the fence if it gets struck by lightning down the road…

… and I’m taking these two classes/lecture series (serieses? serisi? what’s the plural of series? is series a plural? if it is, what’s the singular? Serie? I need more coffee. Or maybe less coffee). They’re making me think like nothing has in a while. My brain feels sluggish, like I’m digging up a garden after years of not planting anything there.

OK, there’s probably more I could ramble on about, but I need to get moving. We’re going to Jacksonville to the pottery supply shop, and to have lunch at our favorite Edgar Allan Poe themed burger joint. Doesn’t everyone have one of those….?
