The second kiln firing since the move was just as happy as the first; here are five great things I took out of the kiln!
Dogwood plaques – Bring your love of nature indoors with this three-dimensional dogwood flower wall hanging. Dogwoods only flower for a few weeks, but who can get enough of that beauty during Spring? With this unique piece on your wall, you can have that beauty year-round. Available in both gray and brown.
Mushroom cups – This cup may be tiny, but it makes up for that by packing a huge punch of retro awesomeness! Hot beverages taste 114% more delicious in this little cup*. The groovy mushroom decorations are different on both sides of the mug (if you’re looking for a solid-color cup, you can find those here) and you’ll be hard-pressed to choose a favorite side. Available in both gray (with gray mushrooms) and brown (with brown mushrooms). I’ve already had a request for gray with brown mushrooms, so keep an eye out for more of these when I’m up and slipcasting again!

Pottery mugs – A cozy chair. A favorite book. Your fingers curled around a mug of your favorite beverage. Is there a better way to spend an afternoon? Lovers of large mugs are going to go crazy for this one; it’s the perfect size for a big hot drink (it holds 16 full ounces, so you could even fill it with a tasty cold, adult beverage). The handle is a good size but the whole mug just fits so perfectly with your hands cupped around it that you might find yourself gripping the mug itself rather than the handle. I have had these in stock before in blues, greens, reds, and browns; however, I discontinued the green (the green is much more popular in this design), I reworked the red, and I brought in a purple. Yes! I said purple! What are you waiting for?!
Sock Monkey box – If you or someone you love has a sock monkey obsession (and really, who doesn’t?) this sock monkey box is the perfect unique addition for a collection! He would look adorable on a children’s bookshelf, or would give an adult a smile as seeing him on a mantle or shelf would bring back fond childhood memories. I’ve stocked this before but been out for a while, and wanted to make a couple in advance of the Florida Fiber-In in September. When I’d made them before, I made them only with white hats; but customer requests mean it’s also now available with a red hat!
Yarn bowls – A great gift for the knitter or crocheter in your life (or maybe a great gift for yourself!), yarn bowls hold the yarn so that it doesn’t roll around on the floor while you’re trying to work on your project. Finally back in stock (I know some of you have been waiting for that red) and I’m working on a new way to cut out the yarn guide. What do you think?
