And I've been in such a knitting funk lately (too many WIPs and nothing is exciting me right now), I've decided my "challenge" will be to knit anything. That's right - I haven't finished anything at all this year, so I'm setting the bar kind of low. Two "meh" socks on the needles, some lace work I have to think about...I can't stress about a challenge this year. I really did enjoy it 4 years ago, though - made my first pair of socks! I’m in the same boat. And I’ve been in such a knitting funk lately (too many WIPs and nothing is exciting me right now), I’ve decided my “challenge” will be to knit anything. That's pretty crazy. Knitting seems like crazy magic to me in the first place so if you - whom I think of as like a knitting goddess - can't pull that off, then jeez it must really be impossibly hard! Since I will have to travel for work during the Olympics, (side note: which makes me sad as I'll be missing the men's gold medal hockey game) I decided my project has to be portable - so I'm doing socks! Plus I made the executive decision that a "challenge" is different from "killing oneself." I'll be doing Glenna C.'s Viper Pilots. They're hard but not impossible and I'll be able to take them with me on my biz trip. Huzzah! Compete!!
