State of the Onion. Union. Whatever.

Tim will be taking some contract work, and is still actively job hunting. Thank you everyone who has sent in leads, good thoughts, and beer!

I am still tied up in knots internally, and  you could bounce a brick off of my tense shoulders. Perhaps these drinks – Gin with Orange, Lemon, and Cranberry juices – aren’t medicating me as much as I thought? Maybe I should double the Gin. I don’t even really like Gin, but we had a huge bottle in the house leftover from a martini party (the one at Necro that year, Sharon, for CarolAndEric? Remember that?) and finding some mixers that would make Gin palatable was marginally less expensive than buying more Vodka. After that I guess I have to switch to… what is this? Some sort of … weird shooter drink. ANYWAY. We haven’t had to eat any of the cats yet, but frustratingly the dogs still refuse to go out and get jobs. Fuckers.

And that’s where we are right now.

I can’t think of how to end this post so… Why did the monkey fall out of the tree? IT WAS DEAD. (Thank you, thank you! I’ll be here all week! Please tip your wait staff!)

  1. lol onion. We actually used the phrase ‘sanctified our onion’ in a Christmas card one year.

What kind of Vodka do you like? I am Vodka illiterate.

    1. Well, when I was in college, I was an Absolut girl (mostly because of the posters – hai! I am shallow!). (Also I was going to Art School at the time and Absolut was a very gay-friendly company and as such we tried to save our pennies to spend on them.) Then for a while I was all about Skyy, because of the pretty sleek bottles (again with the shallow!). But clearly I’m getting cheaper in my old age because now pretty much all I buy is Burnett’s – it comes in large, inexpensive quantities and great flavors like Pomegranate and Lime.

  2. I’d feel crappy if all I had to drink were gin too. And don’t bother eating the cats. Most of them would probably be tough and stringy. You and Tim are still in my thoughts (for what that is worth).

    1. Yeah… realistically I’d probably eat squirrel before I eat cat. There’s also more squirrels in my yard than cats, so… they’d last longer! Ick!

      (and, thanks 🙂 )
